PLANT POWER FOR THE WIN! SHAKE IT UP!

Did you know that without protein, our bodies wouldn’t function properly? No wonder health and fitness experts stress the importance of protein so much! But WHERE you get your protein can be just as important as making sure you have enough. Arbonne uses pea protein in all their protein products because it’s one of the best vegan,soy-free, and dairy-free protein sources available.

We know you love your protein shakes and the key to making a healthy shake is using the right amount of protein, fats, low-glycemic carbs, and fibre to keep you feeling satisfied until your next shake!

We want you to truly love and enjoy drinking your smoothies daily.

Follow these steps to get a 5 rating smoothie every time:

#1. Taste is essential! Thank goodness Arbonne has us covered with that.

Several flavours to choose from ~Chocolate, Vanilla, Coffee, Banana Pancake! What’s your favourite flavour?

#2 The right ingredients are essential for taste and nutritional benefits to keep you full until your next shake/meal

Smoothie ingredients 101

-Arbonne Protein flavour of choice

-1-2 Tbsp Healthy fats (avocado/nut butter etc)

-Fibre; 1-2tsp (Arbonne guthealth fibre, chia seeds, flax seeds)

-Veggies; 1-2 handfuls (zucchini, cauliflower, spinach)

-Fruit 1/4 c berries, green apples

-Liquid (water or nut milk)

#3 Layering your ingredients is key for breaking down those tough, fibrous, leafy, or icy ingredients into a smooth consistency.

• Large containers (more than 20 ounces): First add any wet ingredients (liquids), followed by dry goods-protein/nuts, leafy greens, fresh fruits/vegetables, then frozen ingredients last.

• Small containers (20 ounces or less): First add frozen ingredients, fresh fruits/vegetables, leafy greens, dry goods, and wet ingredients last.

#4 Ice! A cold smoothie is best!

Adding ice and/or frozen fruit will create a smooth, thick, frothy texture. Smoothies can even be made the night before and stored in the fridge.

#5. Variety is the spice of life!

Remember to change it up. We have a ton of delicious smoothie recipes to choose from. Check out the recipe link below. Not only will it be pleasing to your tastebuds but it’s important to be eating a variety of foods. Don’t forget adding in different spices like cinnamon, allspice, pumpkin spice, ginger are a great way to liven up the tastebuds too!

Have fun with your smoothies!

Please note: peas are legumes. People with allergies to legumes such as peanuts should be cautious when introducing pea protein into their diet because of the possibility of a pea allergy. Please consult with your doctor if you’re unsure whether pea protein is right for you.
